For this project, Rheo designed and fabricated a custom bag lifter to assist in lifting and positioning multiple single-use bags above a second-floor mixer. The system featured a swiveling bag carousel which facilitated the swapping of four bags at the mixer inlet. The carousel was designed to be easily placed and picked up from a Transport Cart to allow the single-use bags to be filled on the cart and then attached to the lift for discharge.
This system was designed to interface with multiple styles and sizes of bags using two different hanger designs. Push buttons operate the lift, and two control pendants allow for operation at ground level as well as the second floor. Interlocks prevented the lift from contacting the second level when rotated above the mezzanine.
